EXCLUSIVE: Aashiqui actress Anu Aggarwal joins fan club of Animal and RRR; find out what she thinks about films

In recent times, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s movie “Animal” and SS Rajamouli’s film “RRR” have been highly appreciated. While the former premiered in 2023, the latter debuted on screens in 2022. Yet, their popularity among fans remains strong today. In an exclusive chat with TopMob, actress from “Aashiqui,” Anu Aggarwal, expressed her fondness for both “RRR” and “Animal,” demonstrating that she too is a fan.

Anu Aggarwal was asked to share some recently released movies or shows that left a strong impact on her. Responding to this, she disclosed one of the initial films that captivated her was “RRR”. She was utterly amazed by it and even watched the entire movie from start to finish, she added with a smile while expressing her admiration for the film starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. Later on, discussing the movie “Animal” led by Ranbir Kapoor, Anu Aggarwal expressed her liking towards it as well.

Diverse types of movies are currently being produced. It seems people’s ways of thinking have evolved, she noted, and suggested that filmmakers who quickly grasp the audience’s preferences will reap greater rewards for themselves and the entire film industry.

Anu Aggarwal, who took a break from the film industry for several years, shared her perspective about it now. “I am incredibly thankful as I got to play the roles in movies that I had always imagined for myself. I also want to make it clear that leaving the industry isn’t necessarily due to negativity or disappointment. My departure wasn’t because of that. I left because I had already accomplished what I set out to do and wanted to prioritize my personal development instead. Today, I find the film scene quite intriguing; something I didn’t find so captivating 5 or even 10 years ago,” she expressed.

The ex-actress shared insights on how global movie-making has evolved, with South films now taking center stage. She discussed the shift in viewers’ preferences, who no longer settle for films based solely on star power but rather seek meaningful content. Anu Aggarwal gained nationwide acclaim following her first movie appearance in the 1990 film “Aashiqui.” Afterward, she graced other films such as “King Uncle,” “Janam Kundli,” and more. Her final film to date is “Return of Jewel Thief,” which premiered in 1996.
