‘I have heard from filmmakers…’: Ranbir Kapoor eats alone at cafes while shooting abroad, doesn’t have team; reveals Dharma Cornerstone Agency COO

Runbir Kapoor typically leads a quiet life, keeping himself away from the glamour and bustle of Hollywood-style fame, particularly during times when he isn’t promoting his films. Unlike many Bollywood actors, who maintain a significant social media presence, Kapoor avoids attending star-studded events. In contrast to other stars who often travel with large groups, Kapoor prefers to travel solo. Even while filming overseas, he appreciates dining alone at cafes.

In an interview on IndiaTV ShowBiz, Rajeev Masand, COO of Dharma Cornerstone Agency, shared some intriguing insights about Ranbir Kapoor. He mentioned that unlike numerous Bollywood stars who tend to travel with large groups, the Saawariya debutant often prefers to spend time without being surrounded by his team all the time.

Reflecting on an airport run-in with RK, I can’t help but share an intriguing moment. There he was, standing humbly in line, a solitary figure – something unexpected from a renowned actor like him. “They’re never alone,” I often think when it comes to celebrities, but here was an exception.

When I inquired about his entourage, the Rockstar actor graciously replied, “What team?” implying he was indeed flying solo. As he departed the airport, someone awaited him outside, a testament to his independent yet undeniably star-studded presence.

Rajeev pointed out that it’s ordinary for everyday folks, but stars like Ranbir Kapoor have a whole team behind them. In addition, the COO recounted another tale that would further admire Ranbir Kapoor. Rajeev mentioned that filmmakers have told him that during film shoots overseas, they would take a break for lunch only to find Ranbir Kapoor, son of Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor, eating at some local café all by himself.

Masand observed, “Such a trait indicates a smart performer,” further noting that it shows Rajkummar Rao must engage with reality to convincingly portray his characters in a genuine manner.

On the professional side, Ranbir Kapoor is set to appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, sharing the screen with his wife and actress, Alia Bhatt. Additionally, they will be joined by Vicky Kaushal in this upcoming production. Moreover, Kapoor has also been cast in Ramayana, a film directed by Nitesh Tiwari, where he works alongside actors Yash, Sai Pallavi, and Sunny Deol.
