EXCLUSIVE: Amit Sial shuts down nepotism critics targeting Abhishek Bachchan and Alia Bhatt; ‘Kyu nahi bane Amitabh…’

In a special interview with Hindi Rush, actor Amit Sial candidly addressed the nepotism controversy. He defended actors like Abhishek Bachchan and Alia Bhatt, suggesting that if their parents, such as Amitabh Bachchan or Mahesh Bhatt, hadn’t achieved success themselves, they too could have been in the same position as the so-called ‘nepo kids’.

Amit Sial spoke candidly about the criticism faced by star kids and remarked, “One time someone was talking about nepotism, and they mentioned Abhishek Bachchan’s name. So I said if there are so many problems with star kids, why didn’t you go ask your parents to become Amitabh Bachchan or what have you been doing all these years? Why didn’t Mahesh Bhatt become a father?

Once we discussed nepotism, and they brought up Abhishek Bachchan as an example. I countered by asking, “If you’re so critical of the ‘nepo kids’, why don’t you ask your own parents why they didn’t achieve stardom like Amitabh Bachchan? What were they focusing on all those years instead? Why didn’t your father aim for a career like Mahesh Bhatt?

He remarked, “Firstly, it’s a mistake on your parents’ part that you didn’t get vaccinated. Common sense tells us that I am my daughter and your children will be, so of course, you’ll do what’s best for them, right? Common sense is not something we question. If a Mercedes-Benz S-Class is parked there, would you tell your kids to play in a puddle? You wouldn’t, right? Instead, you’d guide them differently.

Firstly, it’s not your parents who are responsible for you not being a nepotism beneficiary. Secondly, if I or anyone else were to have children, wouldn’t we all naturally want to provide them with the best opportunities? It’s just common sense! This is similar to the idea that if there’s a luxury car parked outside, would you make your child walk through sewage water instead? Of course not! Instead, you’d guide them in the most suitable way for their growth and success.

Amit Sial suggested that if someone wants to become an actor, they should perform in the theater and work on the stage, serving seniors their tea. However, he added, even though they might return home in a luxury car (S-Class), they must still follow this path.

Mention one star kid who hasn’t received any training before being launched. They are all educated and skilled actors. Frankly speaking, I am not capable of doing a kick like Tiger Shroff,” the actor from Kesari 2 stated.
