Originally, Randeep Hooda was slated to appear in the movie “Battle of Saragarhi,” but that film was cancelled following the triumph of Akshay Kumar’s “Kesari,” which shared the same theme. Lately, Amit Sial, a collaborator on “Kesari Chapter 2,” disclosed whether working on this spiritual sequel affected his bond with Randeep Hooda.
During a private interview with TopMob’s Hindi Rush, Amit Sial was questioned about his uncertainty regarding participation in Kesari Chapter 2, given that Randeep Hooda’s film faced cancellation due to the initial release. In response, the actor revealed an intriguing fact about how the movie wasn’t originally named Kesari 2.
He mentioned that the working title for the project was “Sankaran Nair vs the Crown.” During filming, he likely would have received feedback from others about the title as well. He often communicated with his director Karan saying something like, “How can anyone comprehend
Amit explained, “Given its predecessor’s success and considering it as a tribute to our country, especially the events at Jallianwala Bagh, they decided to change the title to Kesari 2. It will maintain the emotional resonance of the original film.”

Amit Sial expressed that their friendship goes back over thirty years, and it made him ponder whether he would participate in Kesari 2 or not because in Kesari 1, Akshay Kumar had portrayed the Battle of Saragarhi, for which Randeep was preparing. He emphasized that these are trivial matters.
When asked if he believed an injustice had been done to Randeep, the actor expressed, “He’s my brother, and I watched him prepare. It never occurred to me that an injustice had happened, but since I’m so connected to this person, whatever disappointment he felt, I shared it equally. Because they are my family.
He concluded by saying that Randeep got out of it so he did as well.
