Even if you haven’t delved deeply into “Supernatural,” this sounds intriguing, especially if we replace “L.A. detective” with “demon hunter.” Ackles offers a straightforward explanation for why these characters are so alike in response to why they’re so close together.

For 15 years, I had the pleasure of portraying the character Dean. I deeply enjoyed embodying such a role. This new character seems to share some similarities, but in a distinctly fresh setting of events.

If something’s working well, there’s no need to change it. Since Dean is so popular, it makes sense to incorporate some of his best traits into a new project. It seems Ackles isn’t copying Dean, but using him as a starting point for his new character. Whether Ackles will succeed in the movie “Countdown” remains to be seen, but expectations are high.
