On Friday, Prince William will debut “Guardians,” a six-part documentary series showcasing the vital role of rangers in preserving nature as unsung heroes, on BBC Earth’s digital platforms.

The idea behind the project that’s been spearheaded by the individual who has lent their voice to the show’s trailer and episode introductions is accessible on the BBC Earth YouTube channel and its associated social media platforms. These channels are under BBC Studios Digital Brands, a commercial division of the U.K. public broadcaster’s BBC Studios branch.

Beginning this Friday, the debut episode of a series produced by Prince William and his Royal Foundation’s United for Wildlife program, in collaboration with Zandland studio, will be released. Subsequent episodes will follow on a weekly basis. It’s crucial that we acknowledge and appreciate nature’s protectors and the invaluable work they carry out.

This narrative unfolds around the Central African Republic and the Dzangha-Sangha sanctuary, focusing on a former poacher who has since chosen a new path, devoting his existence to preserving the very animals he previously pursued.

This episode centers around efforts made by rangers to foster harmony between the elusive snow leopards, often referred to as the “Spirits of the Himalayas,” and the local populace residing in the Spiti Valley, India.

The Sea of Cortez in Mexico, famously known as “the world’s aquarium,” is the setting for an episode that narrates the tale of a former poacher-turned-conservationist who is dedicated to preserving the endangered marine environment.

As a passionate gamer, I find myself often immersed in virtual worlds, but sometimes I like to take a break and explore the real-life wonders of our planet. One such place is Kruger National Park in South Africa. Here, instead of battling monsters or completing quests, I’m part of a team working tirelessly day and night to safeguard, rescue, and rehabilitate critically endangered rhinos. These majestic creatures are under constant threat from poachers, making our mission all the more crucial.

In Sri Lanka, veterinary specialists dedicate their time to rehabilitating elephants, leopards, and various other wildlife species. Simultaneously, they manage patrol duties and strive to lessen the impact of human-elephant encounters.
