In the locale of “ My Hero Academia “, most individuals harbor a unique trait known as a Quirk. Typically, an individual can only amplify their Quirk through a process called awakening. Interestingly, it’s been discovered that Quirks can also be boosted artificially. A substance named Trigger momentarily intensifies a person’s Quirk, yet it impairs the user’s rational faculties in the meantime. Though it’s illegal, some Pro Heroes could theoretically become invincible if they employed Trigger.
As a fervent admirer, I’d put it this way: With my unique abilities (Quirks), I safeguard citizens and stand tall against villainy. I’d only resort to Trigger in the gravest circumstances. Some of us Pro Heroes could level a city or vanquish an entire horde of Villains if our Quirks were amplified with Trigger. Even the mightiest Villains would struggle against certain Trigger-empowered heroes like me.
Quirk Ability: Energy Creation
As a die-hard fan, let me share my admiration for Nejire Chan, one of the Big 3 at U.A. High School who later rose to become Japan’s Number 7 Pro Hero! Her unique quirk, Wave Motion, allows her to unleash incredible spiral shockwaves. What makes Wave Motion so extraordinary is that Nejire can harness its power not just for offense, but also for flight – she propels herself through the air by generating energy from her feet!
This versatile quirk comes in handy during battles, as Nejire can use her shockwaves to subdue Villains or even penetrate their bodies with focused Wave Motion points. Truly, Nejire Chan’s Wave Motion Quirk is one of the most fascinating abilities among all Pro Heroes!
Nejire Chan’s ability can overpower two villains with size-enhancing powers simultaneously. If Tomura Shigaraki were not immune to fatal injuries, he would have been severely injured by her. In the event that Nejire utilizes Trigger, the wave motion generated could potentially obliterate a person completely. Her enhanced energy restraints appear to be indestructible. However, using Wave Motion drains Nejire’s vitality, making it a last resort for her.
Quirk Ability: Black Hole Duplication
Space Hero: Thirteen primarily focuses on search-and-rescue missions, but she’s capable of confronting villains if necessary. Thirteen has a deep affection for Quirks that are employed for construction and aid, which is somewhat ironic given that she herself wields one. Thirteen’s Quirk, known as Black Hole, enables her to generate miniature black holes using her fingertips.
Thirteen’s Black Hole ability is incredibly powerful, pulling anything towards her fingers with such intensity that not even light can break free. Whatever gets sucked in gets disintegrated. It’s important to note that the strength of this power increases when she uses more fingers. When Thirteen activates Trigger, her Black Hole becomes significantly stronger, allowing her to effortlessly demolish a city block and take out multiple villains simultaneously. If she had used all ten fingers with Trigger activated, her Black Hole could have likely handled the Nomus in Jaku Hospital and even destroyed all of the Twice duplicates during the Final War.
Quirk Ability: Orca-Related Abilities
Although he appears intimidating like a notorious gang leader, Gang Orca is actually a powerful and admired Pro Hero who tested aspiring Pro Heroes during the Provisional License Exam. He also played a significant role in commanding forces on Okuto Island during the Final War. Orcinus is a Quirk that grants Gang Orca the characteristics and capabilities of an orca whale. With the strength of an orca, Gang Orca can easily overpower lesser villains and various levels of Nomu. Additionally, his increased resilience enabled him to effortlessly withstand one of Deku’s powerful kicks.
In a simpler, more conversational manner: Gang Orca is capable of generating high-speed sound waves intended to immobilize enemies. If Gang Orca had Trigger during the Gunga Mountain Villa Raid, he could have easily overpowered the Paranormal Liberation Front. With Trigger’s enhancement, a single Gang Orca can freeze multiple villains at once, followed by effortlessly charging through them with extraordinary physical strength.
Quirk Ability: Electrical Discharge
Eight years post the Great War, I, Electrifying Enthusiast, a proud member of the Hero Association, ascended to Japan’s 44th Pro Hero rank. Born with an extraordinary Quirk – Electrification – I possess the power to store electricity within my being and release it in devastating bursts. My electrifying abilities can unleash up to 2 million volts, a potent tool for subduing numerous adversaries simultaneously. However, the downside is that these sweeping attacks often affect my allies as well, requiring me to exercise utmost caution and precision in every strike.
If Chargebolt employs the aid of Trigger, it’s likely he could significantly boost Electrification’s peak voltage by twice as much. Provided his adversary doesn’t possess rubber-based abilities, Chargebolt’s electrified assaults, enhanced by Trigger, would inflict considerable harm. Furthermore, Trigger is expected to extend the reach of Electrification, allowing Chargebolt to potentially annihilate a small army with a single strike. However, using Trigger carries a significant risk: Chargebolt’s cognitive functions may fail for approximately two hours, rendering him vulnerable, so the use of Trigger should be considered as a last resort.
Quirk Ability: Becoming A Giant
In the world of My Hero Academia, Mount Lady ascends to the position of Japan’s third-best female Pro Hero eight years post the Final War. This makes her one of the top female Pro Heroes in the series. Mount Lady frequently employs seduction, but when it comes to full-scale battles, she primarily uses her Gigantification ability. This unique Quirk, among many types, transforms her into a 67-foot tall giantess. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have control over any other size changes, so activating her Quirk always results in her growing exactly to 67 feet.
Mountain Lady undergoes an extraordinary increase in physical prowess when she transforms into a colossal figure. With her enlarged stature, she can deliver a mammoth dropkick that’s enough to knock out even the largest of villains. Her unparalleled toughness enabled her to withstand All For One’s Air Cannon blast, and many attacks barely cause her any harm. If Mountain Lady had enhanced her size-changing ability with Trigger, her strength and durability would have reached extraordinary levels. It’s likely that she could have singlehandedly subdued most of the Paranormal Liberation Front at the Gunga Mountain Villa. There’s a strong possibility that she could have stopped Gigantomachia’s rampage on her own.
Quirk Ability: Sentient Shadow Manipulation
Tsukuyomi, consistently one of Class 1-A’s most potent scholars, ascends to the position of Japan’s seventeenth-ranked Pro Hero. His unique Quirk, Dark Shadow, enables him to summon a shadowy creature from within himself, which serves as his combat ally. The character and capabilities of this shadow are influenced solely by darkness, encompassing its power, defense, and control. However, the strength of Dark Shadow diminishes significantly when it encounters intense light sources.
Tsukuyomi dons the Dark Shadow as if it’s protective armor, granting him flight capabilities. In combat, this entity can pummel opponents with massive fists or lash out with vicious claw attacks. When Tsukuyomi uses his Ragnarok technique, the power of Dark Shadow skyrockets, capable of vanquishing some formidable Villains instantaneously. However, if Dark Shadow absorbs Trigger’s energy, Tsukuyomi risks losing control over it entirely. With such an influx of power, Dark Shadow could effortlessly dismantle a High-End Nomu or similar foe. In the event that 100 Villains surround him at night, Tsukuyomi would have a significant advantage.
Quirk Ability: Explosion Creation
Confident, Hot-headed Dynamight, nicknamed Murder God, ranks No. 5 among Japan’s Pro Heroes despite his arrogance, quick temper, and aggressive nature. His abilities stem from the Explosion Quirk, which allows him to generate powerful explosions. The source of these explosions is a nitroglycerin-like sweat that emerges from his palms, which he can ignite at will.
The blasts from this Quirk have the potential to cause severe harm. If these blasts persist non-stop, they can breach even the toughest fortifications, similar to Red Riot’s Hardening Quirk. Moreover, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight now has the ability to create explosions powerful enough to injure a villain as formidable as All For One. With Trigger’s assistance, these explosions from Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight could deal near-lethal damage to All For One. Additionally, he would possess enough explosive force to obliterate everything in his vicinity with continuous, enhanced blasts.
Quirk Ability: Air Manipulation
At Shiketsu High School, Gale Force stood out as the most brilliant student. His unique ability, the Whirlwind Quirk, allows him to effortlessly control the air in his vicinity. Unlike ordinary Whirlwind users, however, Gale Force has the extraordinary capability to manipulate multiple air currents simultaneously. He’s able to generate powerful wind bursts and even miniature tornadoes robust enough to shatter solid ice blocks. This Quirk proves particularly useful defensively, as Gale Force can utilize air to counteract incoming ranged attacks.
In terms of attacking power, Gale Force frequently employs Whirlwind to violently disperse his adversaries with immense strength. Should Gale Force acquire Trigger, he could potentially generate colossal F5 tornadoes capable of ravaging a villain’s fortress such as Jaku Hospital or the Gunga Mountain Villa. The force of his wind blasts would be sufficient to easily move someone as massive as Gigantomachia, rendering ordinary villains defenseless against him.
Quirk Ability: Duplicate Creation
Beyond Izuku Midoriya, it could be argued that AirCon Hero: Shoto was Class 1-A’s most powerful student. Currently, Shoto holds the position of Japan’s Number 2 Pro Hero, demonstrating his exceptional strength and skill. Born with the Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk, he has the ability to create intense flames from his left body side and ice from his right. Initially favoring his right side, Shoto has since learned to control both elements simultaneously.
If Shoto had possessed Trigger during the Final War, it would have made defeating his older brother significantly simpler due to his intensified flames outmatching Dabi’s blue fire. With Trigger, Shoto could transform into an elemental behemoth, generating enough ice to encapsulate an entire city in a freezing spell, and effortlessly imprison a multitude of villains within blocks of ice. His amplified flames could have easily disintegrated every duplicate of Twice during the Final War. However, there’s a risk that Shoto might develop powers comparable to Dabi if he uses Trigger. This ability should only be employed in situations where civilians are absent and when the entire world’s fate is on the line.
Quirk Ability: Superhuman Physical Abilities
For more than a decade, All Might stood as Japan’s top Pro Hero, a position earned through his extraordinary power and unwavering kindness. Born without a Quirk, he gained the eighth generation of the One For All Quirk after meeting Nana Shimura. Unlike his predecessors, All Might could not utilize their specific abilities, but instead honed and developed the fundamental skills of One For All. Consequently, All Might was endowed with superhuman strength, speed, resilience, stamina, and agility.
In many instances, All Might possessed the power to knock out villains with a single mighty blow. However, there were some particularly tough villains who could withstand such force. Had All Might been active during the conflict against the Paranormal Liberation Front, he likely could have eliminated every soldier at Gunga Mountain Villa single-handedly if he had used his Trigger ability. His extraordinary resilience and reaction speed would have escalated to a level that might have allowed him to vanquish all High-End Nomu in the series. All Might managed to defeat All For One on two occasions, but both battles left him gravely wounded. With Trigger, his superhuman punches could potentially have ended the notorious villain for good.
