Gad Saad Gently Shreds Kyra Sedgwick’s Anti-Trump Fears

The Internet is undefeated in breathing new life into “resurfaced” comments.

During the height of Cancel Culture, it became particularly evident that even a joke from years past could trigger an apology spree or even cancellation, if not handled carefully.

Instead of asking Jimmy Fallon directly, let’s discuss the controversy surrounding a 20-year-old blackface sketch that recently resurfaced, which had gone overlooked until the tragic death of George Floyd during his encounter with Minneapolis police officers.

Recently, I stumbled upon a fiercely passionate anti-Trump post by actress Kyra Sedgwick on Instagram that’s been generating quite a buzz. Notably, author Gad Saad highlighted this impassioned speech.

The Canadian pundit saw “The Closer” alum’s April comments and couldn’t help but respond.

Under the present administration of Trump, the star expressed concern that she might forfeit both her right to vote and control over her own body. Additionally, there’s a possibility that food banks could run out of supplies, potentially leading many individuals to experience hunger.

Saad found Sedgwick’s expressed concerns, to be quite inaccurate, to say the least. However, he chose not to criticize Sedgwick directly nor claim superiority over the well-known liberal figure.

At least not right away.

Instead, he highlighted the weaknesses in her argument, aiming to prompt those with similar misconceptions towards a fact-check.

Saad questioned, “What explanation could there be for her fearing so many different things as she mentioned in that video?

In 1920, the United States corrected the injustice of denying women the right to vote through the ratification of the 19th Amendment.

Is there any plausible scenario where in modern-day United States, Donald Trump might declare, “I’m breaking with the last century… I’m making a clean sweep. Women are expected to return to their domestic roles. I’m eliminating all food supplies because I’ve slashed government funding for it.

Apart from that, Saad mentioned his concern about potential loss of personal control over one’s body, an issue he believed was related to the possibility of Roe v. Wade being overturned.

He stated that, given Sedgwick’s age of 59, it seems likely she has gone through menopause. Regardless, he explained, this doesn’t impact her in any way. Furthermore, he expressed that the argument about bodily autonomy, even if Sedgwick were still of child-bearing age, is flawed in its fundamental understanding.

He stated, “I frequently refer to this topic when I discuss parasitized minds as the greatest threat in nature. The individual here appears to be mentally healthy, but there’s an argument to be made that profound stupidity might be a type of cognitive disability.

A researcher specializing in evolutionary behavioral studies emphasized a potential danger that could be more impactful on her, as a woman, than she might currently understand: “The possibility of religious influence increasing significantly within the United States, or even the West as a whole, which could potentially pose a direct and tangible threat to her personally.

In 2025, a visit to any college campus would likely provide insight into the experiences Saad is referring to, as it seems that his statement primarily applies to Jewish women.

He stated that the gravest and most profound danger for her, as well as every woman in America, is posed by Donald Trump.
