In the teaser for her upcoming horror movie Maa, Kajol takes on the part of a fearless, devoted mother. The storyline hints at a spine-tingling journey where a mother metamorphoses into an intense manifestation of Goddess Kali to shatter a dreadful curse stemming from fear, violence, and deceit. In the beginning, we see Kajol driving along a lonely forest path, her daughter sitting beside her. The girl complains about menstrual pains, to which Kajol responds by promising them a rest stop isn’t far off and things will turn out alright.
Yet, the course of their trip becomes darker as a mysterious person smashes against their vehicle’s window, forcing them into the unsettling town of Chandanpur, where a chilling story is about to surface.
Kajol advises her daughter not to go anywhere without her approval, as events unfold, she discovers there’s an ominous tree said to house malicious spirits.
Upon Ronit Roy’s arrival, it becomes clear that several young women have vanished from this very location over the past few months, a chilling revelation that sends shivers down my spine. Determined and fueled by anger, I swear to protect my daughter from becoming another victim in this village’s haunting ritual aimed at lifting the curse. However, the looming question gnaws at me: can I successfully guard her against the malevolent forces converging upon us?

Besides Maa, Indraneil Sengupta, Jitin Gulati, and Kherin Sharma are among the stars. Vishal Furia directs this production, with Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Subbarayan serving as producers. Saiwyn Quadras is credited for writing the screenplay, while Sandeep Francis handles editing duties.
In the upcoming movie “Maa”, due to hit theaters on June 27, 2025, the talented music creators are Harsh Upadhyay, Rocky Khanna, and Shiv Malhotra.
