With 13 tracks, “While The Iron Is Hot” stands out, filled with samples, skits, and conversational snippets. Yet, Kast appears more focused than ever, making it seem effortless. Reinforced by lively jazz rhythms and engrossing instrumentals, this extensive album is a blend of solo work and a skillful display of purposeful creative partnership.
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve collaborated with Samara Cyn on the lead single “SMALL TALK” and Malaya on “Stumblin.” My longtime partner in music, MAVI, joins me for “MAVKAST!” – a track where we both declare, “Me and MAVI, running on the same rhythm!” Vince Staples lends his talent to “Strange Ways,” while Saba and Frsh Waters join me on the penultimate cut, “Dog Days.
