I’m really looking forward to the new Yellowstone episodes coming up in 2025 and early 2026, particularly those that continue the stories of our main characters from the original Western series. Even though I can’t wait for these shows, I have to admit that I’m not a fan of their current titles. The working titles, Dutton Ranch (for the show featuring Rip and Beth) and Y: Marshals (Kayce’s series), aren’t my favorites. However, it seems that these are just temporary names. Fortunately, we have some updates on the title for the spinoff featuring Rip and Beth, courtesy of Cole Hauser.
Cole Hauser Confirmed That The Rip And Beth Spinoff Won’t Be Called Dutton Ranch
Both Kayce’s series and the spinoff featuring Rip and Beth are scheduled to debut quite soon. The working title for the spinoff, currently called “Dutton Ranch“, is expected to air in late November. However, even though we won’t have to wait much longer to see Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser on our screens again, it’s important to note that the official title hasn’t been confirmed yet. The Rip actor recently mentioned to Fox News that the title is still up for discussion.
Well, first of all, it’s not ‘Dutton Ranch.’ That’s not the name of it.
As per Cole Hauser, the forthcoming spin-off of Yellowstone won’t bear the title Dutton Ranch, instead, it seems there’s a different name in store for it.
Apart from clarifying the title of his series, he additionally shared his enthusiasm and dedication towards furthering the narrative of their cherished couple. He expressed that both he and Kelly Reilly are thrilled and deeply invested in continuing their tale.
For the past seven years, we’ve consistently followed the same path. Kelly Reilly and I have been tirelessly putting in effort to develop something extraordinary.
It’s almost certain that they will create something truly remarkable, as Yellowstone fans adore Rip, Beth, and their relationship. Continuing their story seems fitting. Fortunately, this won’t take place under the banner of the Dutton Ranch.

I’m Very Happy It Won’t Be Called Dutton Ranch
My gripes with the name Dutton Ranch are twofold.
To put it in my own words as a movie enthusiast, let me say this: Beyond the captivating series “Yellowstone”, this franchise isn’t exactly known for its imaginative title choices. I personally find the names “1883” and “1923” a bit uninspiring and restrictive, as they seem to confine the narrative to specific years, rather than allowing for a broader, more dynamic storytelling experience.
The Dutton Ranch doesn’t face the creative limitations that some other Taylor Sheridan shows do, but it doesn’t quite capture the same level of originality found in titles like Yellowstone, Landman, Lioness, or Mayor of Kingstown.

You can watch the series “Yellowstone” using a Peacock subscription. On the other hand, all the other spin-offs from the same universe can be accessed with a Paramount+ subscription.
To keep things straightforward, Dutton Ranch seems appropriate. But I find the other mentioned options equally fitting and more appealing to my taste.
To put it simply, I find it confusing that the show is named “Dutton Ranch” when, based on what we know, it seems to take place on uncharted territory. Since their original ranch from “Yellowstone” no longer exists, it would be challenging for me to accept this family’s history and relocating their ranch to an entirely new location.
It strikes me that Beth is a member of the Dutton family, which means they might consider naming their ranch after her surname. Nevertheless, let’s brainstorm a unique and symbolic name for the ranch that reflects the fresh start Rip and Beth are embarking on together.
Indeed, it’s great to hear that Cole Hauser clarified that “Dutton Ranch” isn’t the title of his upcoming spinoff. Excitedly, I can hardly wait for the show, as I’m eager not only to follow Rip and Beth’s storyline but also to discover what their next chapter will be named.
