For enthusiasts who immerse themselves in anime and manga, it’s well-known that some series can amass an extensive cast, indeed. Keeping up with the tradition, Kaiju No. 8 is planning to expand its roster, introducing a brand-new original character, exclusively featured in Kaiju No. 8: The Game!

In a twist from the original Kaiju No. 8 series, we find ourselves dealing with enigmatic portals appearing all over Japan. These portals pose a grave risk, potentially unleashing an unprecedented number of colossal monsters. Consequently, to counteract this threat and secure the gates, a new entity separate from the Kaiju Defense Force has been established to combat these monsters and seal the mysterious openings.

This group, known as CLOZER (Closing Order with Zero Restrictions), is helmed by none other than Sagan Shinomiya, a fresh character created by the developers. In our main image, you can see her on the left side. As the enigmatic older adoptive sibling of Kikoru Shinomiya, details about Sagan’s past, weaponry, and her part in the story are being kept secret.

Typically, these characters act as main protagonists and help new audiences acclimate to the complex settings usually populated by established characters. These original characters frequently serve as player avatars.

Akatsuki Games appears to be heavily invested in their anime project Kaiju No. 8, as their other adaptation, Tribe Nine, was recently canceled just three months after its debut. This might make fans a bit apprehensive about what they can anticipate when Kaiju No. 8 is released.
