A secluded log cabin nestled within a forest, an abundance of liquor, passionate moments happening in various locations such as a steaming hot tub or even out in the open woods – what could possibly go amiss? Well, if you introduce a pig with unresolved issues and a troubled father into the scenario, a multitude of problems ensue! This movie is brutal, and perhaps its most terrifying aspect lies in the fact that these killings occur during daylight hours. There’s no subtlety or deception here; everything unfolds openly, whether it be on the table, the edge of the hot tub, in the shower, or…well, you get the idea – everywhere.
This movie eschews fancy techniques; instead, it presents raw, unapologetic violence. It’s intense, keeping viewers on edge, and surprisingly engaging given that it’s an independent, low-budget film about a pig-killing antagonist. In other words, it’s quite impressive for what it is.
It appears that some critics have given it unfavorable reviews. For instance, the team at Film Threat, after watching just the trailer, stated on their YouTube channel that this movie isn’t a good-bad film like some others might be. Similarly, Culture Crypt accused it of being a blatant ripoff of the previous Poohniverse films.
Instead of saying, “But I say, pop some popcorn and have a little fun,” you could rephrase as, “How about we make some popcorn and enjoy ourselves for a bit?”
