ASICS is well-known for adding a floral touch to its different running shoes, often collaborating with Cecilie Bahnsen to create these vibrant designs. Recently, they released the GEL-KAYANO 20 in two flower-adorned colorways at the start of May, and now ASICS is hinting at a “Floral Pack” consisting of the GEL-CUMULUS 16 which will be available as part of their regular collection.
It appears that the ASICS GEL-CUMULUS 16 from 2014 will reappear on store shelves this year with two fresh, whimsical designs. Each pair showcases a synthetic upper in yellow and black as primary colors, with intricate black flower graphics adorning them. The sneakers’ semi-transparent overlays come in silver and black for the first design, while all-black is featured in the second. A significant change introduced to the shoe’s silhouette is the switch from traditional laces to a cord lacing system with a floral motif on the tongue.
Currently, ASICS has not specified a release date for these two floral versions of the GEL-CUMULUS 16. Keep an eye out for announcements since we anticipate seeing them in stores towards the end of this year, possibly with a higher price than the previous model’s $115 USD.
