Clint Eastwood Sets the Record Straight on His Recent “Interview”

After reading the article by Austrian newspaper Kurier claiming to feature an interview with Clint Eastwood, the actor has publicly denounced the publication as “fake” or “phony”. According to Deadline, Eastwood made this assertion in a formal statement.

Recently, some information about me has appeared in the news. To clear up any confusion, I want to make it clear that I have indeed reached the age of 95. However, contrary to what has been reported, I have not given an interview to the Austrian newspaper Kurier, or any other journalist in recent weeks. The interview attributed to me is fake.

The original report continues below.

The man, who seems perpetually unwilling to retire, appears to have defied retirement yet again at the age of 95. Contrary to earlier speculations that suggested his latest film might be his last, it appears those rumors were premature, as he has recently disclosed his continued work on a new project.

Many individuals find the notion of working in their 90s extremely undesirable. However, for Clint Eastwood, the idea of relaxing and taking it easy appears to be far from his thoughts. In an interview with Kurier, Eastwood expressed that he doesn’t seem to have any plans of slowing down in the future.

It’s perfectly plausible for a man to improve over time due to his wealth of experience. After all, I’ve had a long and eventful journey that has equipped me with a multitude of experiences. Admittedly, some directors may struggle to maintain their skillset as they age, but I assure you, I am not one of them.

What makes Eastwood’s plans particularly interesting, especially since he never definitively stated last year’s movie was his last, is that he seems to be working on a new film for Warner Bros., despite the widespread reports that the studio tried to suppress Juror #2 by releasing it in only a few theaters.

For individuals who view Eastwood as a lasting symbol from an earlier era in Hollywood, hearing that he’s not ready to leave us just yet would undoubtedly bring great joy.
