It appears that Andrew Garfield, along with two other actors who have been nominated for Oscars, are reportedly having discussions with director Luca Guadagnino regarding a new film centered around OpenAI. Notably, Guadagnino previously worked with Garfield on the movie “After the Hunt,” which features Julia Roberts and Ayo Edebiri, and is set to be released in cinemas on October 11th. Last year, one of Guadagnino’s films titled “Challengers” hit theaters, starring Zendaya, Mike Faist, and Josh O’Connor. However, his upcoming World War II film, “Sgt. Rock,” has recently been announced as having been canceled.
As per Deadline’s report, Garfield, Monica Barbaro, and Yura Borisov (from Anora) are reportedly discussing roles for an upcoming film titled Artificial with the director. Although no agreement has been finalized as yet, Guadagnino is currently in negotiations with Amazon MGM Studios to take charge of the project, using a script from Simon Rich. The movie is said to focus on the artificial intelligence company OpenAI in 2023, a time when CEO Sam Altman was dismissed and reinstated in quick succession.
