In an exclusive chat, a 41-year-old was queried about the current progress of Asur 3 and its impending launch. Responding to this, Barun disclosed that the writing for the highly anticipated sequel has recently been completed. The crew has yet to commence filming, and it will take some time before production starts. Additionally, he guaranteed that Asur Season 3 is indeed in the works.

Moreover, Kohrra’s actor stated that his role in Asur significantly altered the way viewers perceived him, as they began to view him as a serious actor. Barun Sobti praised Asur as a ‘superbly written’ series and recounted his reaction when he was initially approached for the role. “It was a brilliantly written show,” said Sobti. “It was fantastic. In fact, when I was first approached, I was like why are you choosing me, it’s well-written,” Sobti added with a laugh.

In a subsequent comment, the actor stated that if someone disputed his selection in Asur, he would successfully argue his case for being unsuitable. However, Barun clarified that this discussion pertained solely to the casting process and not his performance, which will be assessed later. He concluded by acknowledging that he felt fortunate to have landed the role.

For those not familiar, Asur is a highly acclaimed Indian web series. This psychological crime thriller stands out due to its unique blend of writing and references to Indian mythology. The show is helmed by director Oni Sen and features Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti in the main roles, accompanied by an impressive cast including Vishesh Bansal, Gaurav Arora, Anupriya Goenka, Ridhi Dogra, Amey Wagh, Sharib Hashmi, Meiyang Chang, and Abhishek Chauhan.
