Tom Felton Reprising Draco Malfoy Role for Harry Potter on Broadway (DETAILS)

Once a Malfoy, always a Malfoy!

As a diehard Potterhead, I’m thrilled to share that Tom Felton is making a comeback to the magical realm, reprising his iconic role as Draco Malfoy in the sensational Broadway production of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” Having brought Draco to life on screen across all eight Potter films, I can’t wait to slip back into those Slytherin robes for a 19-week stint from November 11, 2025 to March 22, 2026.

Tom Felton reprising Draco Malfoy role in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

In a statement, Felton, aged 37, expressed that performing in “Cursed Child” this fall will mark a complete circle for him since he’ll be the same age as Draco Malfoy in the play. He added that returning to his character and the signature platinum blond hair is a strange yet exciting feeling. He’s eager to continue telling the story, especially with the most dedicated fanbase in the world. Felton is excited to become a part of this outstanding cast and contribute to the vibrant Broadway community.

Excited fans of the Wizarding World, we’re overjoyed to announce that Tom has joined our Cursed Child family on Broadway. This means Harry Potter enthusiasts worldwide get an extraordinary opportunity to watch him re-embody this legendary character, now live on the New York City stage. Producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender commented on this special occasion, acknowledging it as a rare chance for Tom to make his Broadway debut and for Draco’s character to complete its circle.

They went on to say: “He is set to reprise Draco once more, this time as a mature character dealing with the realistic struggles of parenthood and the profound implications of legacy. It’s hard not to notice that this moment is steeped in nostalgia, development, and emotion. With Tom returning to Hogwarts, he connects generations of fans and rejuvenates a cherished tale. We are more than excited to have him back among us, but also as part of our Broadway family. We can’t wait to witness his portrayal of this role once more, infusing it with the same depth, weight, and humanity he has always given to Draco.

The play “Cursed Child,” penned by Jack Thorne in collaboration with John Tiffany and J.K. Rowling, focuses on Harry Potter’s youngest son, Albus Severus, and Draco Malfoy’s only child, Scorpius. After being placed in Slytherin at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, they become the best of friends. In an attempt to alter the course of events during the “Goblet of Fire,” they meddle with time itself, leading unintentionally to a dark alternate reality where Harry is deceased, and Voldemort holds supreme power.

2018 saw the highly acclaimed play win six Tony Awards, among them the prestigious Best Play award, due to its captivating visual effects.
