Animation Creator Ryan Crego Signs With UTA (Exclusive)

The talented animation show creator, scriptwriter, and director, Ryan Crego, has secured representation by United Talent Agency across all fields.

As a game developer taking a break from my pixel worlds, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate on the script and lead the direction of “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie” for DreamWorks Animation, set to hit theaters in September 2025. This unique blend of live-action and animation brings to life the much-loved Netflix kids series, “Gabby’s Dollhouse,” with Laila Lockhart Kraner reprising her beloved role as Gabby on the silver screen.

In “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Film,” we find Gabby embarking on a journey with her grandma Gigi, portrayed by Gloria Estefan, to the bustling city of Cat Francisco. However, disaster strikes when Gabby’s cherished dollhouse gets misplaced and winds up in the possession of an oddball cat lady named Vera, played by Kristen Wiig. Determined to rescue her beloved dollhouse before it’s too late, Gabby embarks on a real-world adventure.

The movie was written by Crego, together with Melanie Wilson LaBracio and Adam Wilson. Initially, Crego started his professional journey as a storyboard artist at DreamWorks Animation, where he contributed to popular productions such as Puss in Boots, Kung Fu Panda 2, Shrek Forever After, and Mr. Peabody & Sherman.
