With fans eagerly awaiting news on MomTok’s future after an exciting second season, Hulu confirmed on Thursday they would air a one-off reunion special for the show, which will debut on their streaming service on July 1st.

This upcoming special episode is set to be moderated by Nick Viall, a former contestant on The Bachelor and host of The Viall Files podcast. The lineup includes Taylor Frankie Paul, Jen Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayl Matthews, Whitney Leavitt, and Miranda McWhorter. Notably absent from promotional materials is Demi Engemann. The group will reminisce about season two’s events.

In the second season of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives”, a group of Utah-based Mormon mom influencers experienced changes in their lives following the debut of the first season. At the heart of the plot were the stories of Paul and Affleck, who each faced challenges in their relationships, as well as Engemann’s personal struggles with both Paul and Ngatikaura.

When “Secret Lives” received another season, Hulu commissioned 20 fresh episodes for it. However, the second season premiered with just 10 episodes, creating a suspenseful cliffhanger. With viewers uncertain if there’d be more to season two, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed in late May that production on the remaining episodes was underway. Consequently, the second half of season two is scheduled to air later this year.

The upcoming reunion for the show is hinting at an exciting revelation from Hulu, but specifics are yet to be disclosed. It’s anticipated that the reunion will delve into the aftermath of the trip involving Engemann, Ngatikaura, Affleck, Taylor, and Matthews on the second season of Hulu’s sister series “Vanderpump Villa,” which had significant consequences in both “Villa” and “Secret Lives” and has sparked much discussion on social media.

The show is created by Jeff Jenkins Productions, in collaboration with 3BMG and Walt Disney Television Alternative. The executive producers are Jeff Jenkins, Russell Jay-Staglik, Andrea Metz, and Brandon Beck from Jeff Jenkins Productions; Ross Weintraub and Reinout Oerlemans from 3BMG; and Danielle Pistotnik, Georgia Berger, and Lisa Filipelli from Select Entertainment.
