In the lead-up to Father’s Day, Dwayne Johnson shares that he carries on honoring his significant late grandfather in two distinct ways: by expanding his men’s grooming brand, PapaTui, and through the characters he portrays in his films.
In his latest Instagram post, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who starred in Jungle Cruise, shared that his Samoan grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia, embodied genuine masculinity and self-care even before it became a trendy term. According to Johnson, his grandfather was an influential figure for him, admired everywhere he went, and took great care of himself. He also revealed that his grandfather served as the inspiration for his Moana character, Maui. This revelation comes alongside the launch of Papatui in Walmart stores and online. The brand is also available at Target.
The renowned businessman has shared that the name of his cost-effective personal care brand is derived from “little tui,” a pet name bestowed upon him by his grandpa, and “papa,” which translates to “rock” in Samoan and symbolizes his cherished role as a father.
