Hulu has acquired the rights for a college comedy featuring actors from “Stranger Things” (Gaten Matarazzo) and “The Goldbergs” (Sean Giambrone).
Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher, recognized as comedy duo BriTANicK, penned and helmed a film about a group of college students. They decide to order a pizza to their dorm, but after a misguided drug trip, the seemingly straightforward task of fetching the pizza from two floors below transforms into an extraordinary, life-altering adventure, as described in the logline.
The movie is created by Jeremy Garelick and Will Phelps, known for their work on American High Productions, which has previously produced Hulu films such as “Plan B”, “Big Time Adolescence”, and “The Binge”. Additionally, Billy Rosenberg from All Things Comedy, along with Jason Zaro, Max A. Butler, and Molle DeBartolo, have also taken on the role of producers for this project. Lastly, Matarazzo serves as an executive producer.
Previously, comedy writers McElhaney and Kocher, represented by United Talent Agency (UTA) and Brillstein Entertainment Partners, have penned the upcoming movie titled “Over Your Dead Body“. This film will be directed by Jorma Taccone and star Jason Segel.
As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share some agency representation details: Matarazzo is represented by United Talent Agency (UTA), McKuin Frankel, and Intention, while Giambrone is represented by Thruline, Gersh, and Felker Toczek.
