Often, we’re unsure of their origin or purpose, but what we do understand is that they house treasures and creatures to battle. Over time, these labyrinths have assumed different shapes, and you might not realize you’re in one until you’re multiple levels deep without a clear path to escape. This is why venturing into a dungeon requires careful preparation with supplies and reliable allies, as safety should always be a priority. Now, 4Cats presents an opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills by conquering the dungeons alone in Dungeon Raid.
The dimly lit and enigmatic chamber displayed before you hides unknown perils. Initially, only one adventurer is accessible, while more will become available as time passes, each offering unique abilities. Once you’ve chosen your hero, you can venture into the labyrinth to begin plundering its depths. However, this realm operates on a card-based system: events and actions are determined through cards drawn from your limited deck at the bottom and a pool of face-down cards in the center. Your objective is to uncover the Exit Door and the Key required to unlock it by flipping up cards one by one. Seems straightforward, doesn’t it?
Keep in mind that this is a dungeon, where the cards may not always be favorable. Expect encounters with harmful creatures that will assault you whenever you take an action. Furthermore, beware of concealed traps that spring into action as soon as they’re revealed. Your character has limited health and defense, but must also manage their Hunger and Stress levels, which can weaken them over time. Fortunately, the cards have a habit of offering useful items and equipment to help you grow stronger and explore further.
In simpler terms, Dungeon Raid is a quick, engaging card game designed for solo players. It offers reliable mechanics, controls, and random elements typical of the genre. The variety of weapons, spells, relics, monsters, and traps it provides is impressive, making you eager to return and discover them all.
