It’s likely that this game will retail at $80 upon launch, but fans would have appreciated a clearer indication of the price, such as what was provided for The Outer Worlds 2. Even a remastered collection of the original games could be justified at $80, although some fans argue that the first game alone is sufficient.
It’s quite possible that Fable will be Xbox’s inaugural $80 game, given the strong affinity fans have for its RPG series. While Xbox hasn’t traditionally been a hub for RPG games, this particular RPG has played a crucial role in bridging the gap and attracting more RPG titles to their console lineup. It wouldn’t surprise us if the upcoming Fable game carries a $80 price tag.
For another clear warning, we don’t believe that any game, including The Outer Worlds 2, should cost $80.
