The killings that occurred at Gilgo Beach, spanning from 1993 to 2011 in Long Island, New York, were a collection of murders. It wasn’t until July 2023 when Heuermann was initially apprehended in connection with the case. By December 2024, he had been indicted for the murder of seven women: Megan Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy, Amber Lynn Costello and Maureen Brainard-Barnes (often referred to as “The Gilgo Four”), alongside Jessica Taylor, Sandra Costilla, and Valerie Mack.
