At Pocket Gamer Connects Barcelona, The Very Big Indie Pitch was an exciting element of the event. This marked the debut of Pocket Gamer in Barcelona!

If you haven’t heard about it yet, The Very Big Indie Pitch is a side event where game developers can hone their presentation skills, connect with industry professionals, and exhibit their unpublished or ongoing projects. Some of these games are being displayed for the very first time! With such an exciting lineup, we thought it would be great to bring these fantastic games and studios to your attention, giving you something to look forward to in the future.

Pocket Gamer Connect events all over the world have Very Big Indie Pitches, along with other major gaming events. The goal is to highlight more indies and their developers – something we always strive to do on Pocket Gamer.

For this contest, a multitude of pitches originated from diverse platforms, ranging from seasoned game developers to fresh talents just starting out. A plethora of impressive pitches were presented – three winners were chosen, and now you can peruse all the submissions that vied for the top spot in the mobile competition.

As a fan, I can’t help but express my excitement for the delightful point-and-click game, “Jordi & Oslo: The Lost Trail.” This captivating adventure is inspired by the beloved comic strip characters of the same name, and it’s a must-play for all ages!

In this 2D graphic journey, I find myself navigating through a series of beautiful watercolor landscapes as I embark on a quest to discover where Oslo the dragon has wandered off. The game is filled with charming dialogues that add humor and warmth to the adventure. It’s not just about solving puzzles; it’s a heartwarming story unfolding, one pixel at a time!

As a keen gamer, I’d say that Tile Snatcher is an engaging social experience where we compete to gather distinctive runes through swift tactical battles. These battles revolve around anticipating each other’s moves and outsmarting opponents in strategic mind games. The objective is simple: uncover as many unique runes as you can.

New runes are discovered by battling fresh opponents, exploring different scenarios and maps, participating in events, meeting challenges within the game, and advancing through the seasonal battlepass. These runes unlock new maps and scenarios, and they even allow friendly competition with buddies for the coveted top spot on the leaderboard.

Cosmetics, maps, and scenarios can be obtained using in-game currency, which is earned by playing or purchased directly. As of now, we’re getting a taste of the gameplay from the first scenario.

In simpler terms, Mantramon is an augmented reality/virtual reality game that combines the excitement of games such as Subway Surfers or Temple Run with a universe full of AI-created interdimensional creatures called Mantramon. This innovative game offers a captivating and engaging experience on iOS, Android, and Oculus Quest (with more platforms to be added later).

Mantramon is set to launch in October of this year.
