DHS Hammers Kim Kardashian Over Anti-ICE Screed

It’s easy to be a woke celebrity.

Just recite the progressive playbook and reap the rewards.

  • Fawning media coverage
  • Possible boost in employment
  • And, most importantly, no one to press you on your beliefs

The latter is the most important part.

Stars frequently express forward-thinking opinions freely, avoiding the need for defense. They do so in press conferences, on social networks, and more recently, through award ceremony events.

Was there any question posed to Leonardo DiCaprio concerning his environmental hypocrisy during the 2016 discourse on climate change? Not at all.

As an ardent follower, it’s disheartening to see traditional media outlets overlook the need for fact-checking when it comes to celebrities voicing progressive viewpoints, often peddling blatant falsehoods that border on hyperbole. Instead of challenging these opinions with necessary context and clarity, journalists seem more than willing to echo their sentiments during interviews, prioritizing personal beliefs over journalistic integrity.

Same side, after all.

As a passionate movie-goer and follower of current events, I can’t help but wonder why Kim Kardashian wouldn’t voice her disapproval towards President Donald Trump’s widely praised immigration policies. The entertainment powerhouse has recently expressed her anger over Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents apprehending undocumented immigrants, among whom are those accused of severe offenses.

Consider Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the man who often enjoys margaritas and is currently dealing with multiple serious accusations.

The Kardashian family member showed support for ICE agents apprehending criminals, only to later post a controversial comment on social media.

In a similar vein to messages shared by Demi Lovato, Longoria, and Pedro Pascal, Kardashian expressed on social media that it’s crucial to voice our concerns when we see innocent, diligent individuals being cruelly separated from their families.

This time, though, someone is firing back beyond right-leaning journalists.

For example, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin responded on her Twitter account to the reality TV personality. McLaughlin highlighted several criminals being expelled by ICE.

@KimKardashian, among the individuals who have been convicted for heinous crimes such as child molestation, murder, drug trafficking, or rape, which one would you prefer to have reside in our community?

As a movie buff, I’d rephrase it like this: “In the latest plot twist, a case involving four undocumented individuals was presented, each now detained by the current administration. The new team seems indifferent, or so it appears.

Here are some individuals who were apprehended for committing unlawful acts within the past 72 hours, and they have previously been found guilty.

According to the Kardashians and their companions, those individuals (four and numerous others) would likely remain on the streets.

As a movie buff, I can’t help but weigh in on this topic. McLaughlin is making it clear that he’s not impressed with celebrities who believe their public displays of virtuousness are beneficial. In my opinion, quite the contrary – these actions often end up causing harm to communities instead.

It’s understandable to advocate for a way for peacefully residing undocumented individuals to become citizens. This is a valid position. However, criticizing ICE agents excessively, especially during times when they are facing real threats, is a different matter altogether.

Instead of supporting the anti-ICE movement, Kanye West’s ex might find it more beneficial to express gratitude towards ICE agents who put their lives on the line to bring order amidst the chaos associated with the anti-ICE stance. A simple “Thank You” for taking violent criminals off the streets would also be appropriate.

If she did, she’d face a withering attack from the same press outlets praising her faux activism.
