Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival Canceled Due to Weather

The Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival has been canceled due to severe weather concerns.

On Friday, the festival shared the unfortunate news via an Instagram post, following several weather-related postponements and an evacuation warning earlier in the day. The first day of the event, scheduled to take place at the Bonnaroo Farm in Manchester, Tennessee, began on Thursday, with only one of the four main acts, Luke Combs, performing before the festival was called off.

Today, the National Weather Service has shared a revised forecast predicting continuous heavy rainfall that will lead to worsening camping and exit conditions in the approaching days. Bonnaroo expressed their disappointment, but for safety reasons, they have decided to terminate the rest of the festival.

At Bonnaroo, it was announced that they would be offering full refunds for one-day tickets (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) purchased through Front Gate Tickets. However, those who bought four-day admission tickets and camping passes via the same service will only receive a 75% refund.

Originally scheduled to headline Bonnaroo were artists like Combs, Tyler, the Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, Hozier, along with Vampire Weekend, GloRilla, Tyla, Raye, Avril Lavigne, Queens of the Stone Age, John Summit, Justice, Dom Dolla, Glass Animals, and The Red Clay Strays. However, their performances have been canceled.

“What’s essential for the Bonnaroo community is understanding and patience. It’s important to remember that some of your fellow campers’ sites are currently in a state of disarray due to the rain.” They continued, “The rain has created challenging conditions in certain areas of Outeroo, making it harder for us to manage. Our focus right now is on helping those affected and individuals with accessibility needs leave The Farm as quickly and safely as possible tonight.

With all our passion and dedication, we’ve aimed to make this weekend extraordinary, but unfortunately, we must cancel our plans. We are deeply disappointed and can’t fully convey our feelings. Thank you in advance for your understanding, optimism, and the ever-resilient Bonnaroovian spirit you always show.
