Dragon Ball Project: Multi is now Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra

Among the many series out there, both anime and otherwise, none seem to endure and persist quite like Dragon Ball. Remarkably, even though its creator, Akira Toriyama, passed away last year, the franchise shows no signs of slowing down. Just recently, Bandai Namco announced that the MOBA-style game previously known as Dragon Ball Project: Multi will now be called Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra.

In a twist from the usual Dragon Ball series, Gekishin Squadra sets up matches where teams of renowned Dragon Ball characters compete against each other, much like in Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) games. Despite being different from what fans might expect, this game is brimming with iconic and beloved characters that will surely delight enthusiasts of the franchise.

After concluding a network test, we’ve gained a better understanding of Gekishin Squadra as fresh details have emerged following the creation of its new identity. One notable feature that surfaced is the introduction of the Finders Keepers game mode. In this mode, teams compete against each other, one team aiming to discover hidden treasure chests while the other strives to prevent them from being found and seized.

Power up

Just as anticipated, the recently finished network test introduced numerous new characters. It’s not hard to figure out that series veterans like Super Saiyan Goku and Vegeta made an appearance. However, longtime followers of the franchise will be delighted to notice returning favorites such as Super Uub, Dabura, and Full Power Bojack joining the roster.

Gekishin Squadra has undergone multiple trials, but fingers crossed, we can expect its official launch on mobile devices by the end of this year. Though hardcore fans might hope for a more combative experience similar to Dragon Ball FighterZ, there’s certainly excitement building around discovering the unique features that Gekishin Squadra brings to the table.

Instead of staying behind on the latest releases, consider exploring Will’s feature, “Off the AppStore,” to discover numerous upcoming titles that aren’t accessible through the iOS App Store or Google Play.
