Trump Has Kind Words for David Ellison’s Paramount Deal, Even As He Rips CBS News

As a gamer, I’m keeping tabs on the gaming world and business news, and I’ve got to say, I’m backing David Ellison in his upcoming acquisition of Paramount Global. However, there’s this ongoing legal dispute we can’t ignore – it’s about that 60 Minutes interview with our former Vice President Kamala Harris. It’s a matter that’s definitely on my radar.

During a press conference on Wednesday, when asked about the recent deal and if he expected it to be resolved quickly, Trump replied: “I certainly hope so. Ellison is fantastic; I have confidence he’ll handle it well.

Notably, Ellison was recently seen at a UFC event in Newark, New Jersey this past month, sitting close to Trump who was also present. His firm, Skydance, has a deal pending for buying Paramount, but its approval is currently delayed by the FCC as they review and assess the transfer of broadcast licenses.

It’s worth pointing out that Ellison recently attended a UFC event in Newark, New Jersey this month alongside Trump. His company, Skydance, has a deal underway to acquire Paramount, but it’s on hold due to the FCC needing to okay the transfer of broadcast licenses.

Trump elaborated on how the Paramount deal was relevant to his current legal dispute with the company, clarifying his perspective on the events.

He stated that during the interview, Kamala gave an answer that was concerning, even potentially damaging to the election. He claimed that the entire response was replaced with another answer from a different question, and this was done multiple times. However, they were exposed and now feel humiliated by it. They are currently negotiating a resolution.

Based on records and original footage from the interview submitted to the FCC as part of their investigation, “60 Minutes” utilized a particular segment of Harris’ reply to a question for promotional purposes, while a different portion of the same response was aired during the broadcast itself.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share that Trump made a remark about mass departures, hinting at the exits of Bill Owens from 60 Minutes and Wendy McMahon from CBS News and Stations. Interestingly, both have stated their decisions to step down were voluntary, despite having strong differences in opinion regarding how the company was managing the ongoing situation.

McMahon informed employees that it has become apparent our visions for the future are not aligned, which is why she’s leaving the company.

For several months now, it has come to light that I won’t have the freedom to manage things as I usually do. Specifically, I won’t be able to make decisions that align with what’s best for ’60 Minutes’ and its audience. Given my long-standing commitment to defending this show and our values, I am choosing to step down so that it can continue to progress.
