So, while I remain thrilled by the news I was initially privy to, I wanted to make sure everyone understands that Rockstar isn’t going to utilize me for such announcements. Previously, there were many individuals who appeared eager for a Red Dead Redemption 2 remaster. Beyond Wiethoff’s remarks, Roger Clark, the actor who portrayed Arthur Morgan, hinted at the possibility of a remaster in response to a fan’s query. Although it could have been a jest, Clark hasn’t removed this meme-based response yet, which suggests he might be privy to the news or could be playfully indicating his awareness of it.
Since there are no significant television game shows taking place this week, it appears quite unlikely that the remastered version will be announced. However, keep in mind that the original Red Dead Redemption unexpectedly resurfaced on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 a few years ago, so who knows? As for this version, it has already appeared on PC, so there’s no immediate need for the second game to make a comeback on that platform.
Given a fresh update, Red Dead Redemption 2, despite already appearing visually appealing and playable, could offer players an additional incentive to revisit this classic. A remastered version for PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2 would undeniably enhance textures and resolution, and it would run at a smoother 60 FPS. Additionally, it might serve as a welcome distraction for fans eagerly waiting for GTA 6 news, as the game’s release has been pushed back to 2026.
Additionally, there have been whispers about the possibility of a GTA 4 remaster in the future. Many enthusiasts would welcome such an update as currently, Grand Theft Auto 4 is only playable on PC platforms.
