Every Mandalorian Character Returning in The Mandalorian & Grogu 

Din Djarin

In the forthcoming film, it seems that the character played by Pedro Pascal, Din Djarin (also known as the Mandalorian), will reconnect with his heritage and embark on a quest to track down the heads of various surviving Imperial factions, based on hints from the end of The Mandalorian Season 3 and scattered pieces of information.

As I wrap up my review of The Mandalorian Season 3, it’s clear that our protagonist, Din Djarin, has made a significant shift in his career. Rather than operating on the fringes of society as an unlicensed bounty hunter, he’s now entered into a pact with the New Republic, legitimizing his pursuits.

Moving forward into The Mandalorian & Grogu, one can expect Din Djarin to cross paths with numerous Imperial leaders. These confrontations will be far from casual, as Din aims to bring these individuals to account for their past transgressions, seeking justice for the countless lives they’ve disrupted and ruined.

It could happen that Djarin and Grogu may encounter Lars Mikkelsen’s Grand Admiral Thrawn in the future, given his powerful position among Imperial leaders and his role in preserving Imperial remnants. Such an encounter would link the storylines of “The Mandalorian” and “Ahsoka,” paving the way for Dave Filoni’s upcoming crossover film within the MandoVerse.

Grogu

In the finale of The Mandalorian Season 3, there was a unique tranquil instance for the series’ primary characters, the Mandalorian and Grogu. A touching moment unfolded where Din Djarin legally adopted Grogu, welcoming him as an apprentice and giving him the name Din Grogu. This significant event solidified Grogu as a genuine Mandalorian, symbolizing the show’s central mystery or MacGruffin.

It’s clear for all to see that Grogu is growing, both in size and with his Force abilities. In fact, it seems like any moment could be the one where he starts talking, and it wouldn’t shock anyone if he began speaking in “The Mandalorian & Grogu.

In the forthcoming movie, it’s plausible that Grogu, with his Force abilities expanding and combat skills honed by Din Djarin, might join the fray. It’s expected that he will primarily stay close to Djarin during the film, but history shows they often get separated against their wishes.

Trapper Wolf

At Star Wars Celebration 2025, Dave Filoni confirmed that Trapper Wolf, a character he had previously created, will make a comeback in The Mandalorian & Grogu. This suggests that Filoni himself will reappear in the film, taking on the role of Trapper Wolf once more, having served as an officer in the New Republic.

Viewers can expect to witness Zeb in action, possibly sharing screen time with Din Djarin and Grogu. As previously stated, the connection between “The Mandalorian & Grogu” could serve as a link between “The Mandalorian” and “Ahsoka”, and Zeb’s inclusion strengthens this possibility since “Ahsoka” primarily featured characters from the animated series’ Ghost crew.

Anzellan

In the expansive Star Wars universe, the Anzellans are one of the many species that have made appearances across various projects. For instance, in the movie “The Rise of Skywalker,” Babu Frik was an Anzellan character. Additionally, multiple Anzellans were highlighted on the planet Nevarro during Season 3 of “The Mandalorian.

In unseen clips from the show “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” it emerged that an Anzellan character made an appearance. Other Characters From The Mandalorian Who Could Appear in The Mandalorian & Grogu

Bo-Katan Kryze

It’s entirely possible that the character of Bo-Katan Kryze, portrayed by Katee Sackhoff, could show up in The Mandalorian & Grogu. In fact, she had a significant role in the series, particularly during Season 3, and established a strong working relationship with Din Djarin and Grogu.

With Mandalore now under Bo-Katan’s leadership once more, it is highly probable that Djarin would reach out to her first should he find himself in trouble. Moff Gideon

In the world of “The Mandalorian,” Moff Gideon has been a persistent adversary for Din Djarin, making it difficult for him to shake off their encounters. Although it appeared that Gideon met his end at the close of Season 3, the series unveiled that he had put in place various precautions, allowing him to potentially be reborn through cloning, should he pass away.

Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Moff Gideon, has expressed on several occasions his desire to reprise his role in the future. Given the Star Wars universe’s propensity for unexpected returns (as Luke Skywalker himself noted), another appearance by Moff Gideon wouldn’t necessarily be shocking.

Based on what we’ve seen so far, the Armorer serves as a nurturing figure for Din Djarin. On numerous instances, he turns to her for guidance, assistance, improvements, and other needs.

In the realm of “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” it feels far more anticipated, even inevitable, for the Armorer to make an appearance rather than be absent. Her connection to Din Djarin’s tale is so profound that her absence would seem almost out of place.

It’s important to mention that Swallow discussed her plans for Star Wars’ future in a unique conversation with TopMob. She shared her desire to see her character’s narrative unfold further.

Ahsoka Tano

There’s a possibility that Ahsoka Tano might make an appearance in The Mandalorian & Grogu. In Season 2 of the Disney+ series, she encountered Din Djarin, and they met again in The Book of Boba Fett.

In the event that Din Djarin required assistance, Ahsoka would probably lend a hand, but there’s a significant hitch – Ahsoka is currently residing in a completely distinct galaxy.
