Story: The movie titled “What Men Want” unfolds as self-absorbed sports agent Ali Davis (played by Henson) finds herself passed over for promotion yet again in the male-dominated workplace. Despite consistently impressive performance, she’s constantly met with sexism. At a bachelorette party, Ali encounters a psychic and suffers an injury to her head, leading to a peculiar twist of events.

Upon awakening, she discovers an unexpected ability: hearing men’s thoughts. Initially, she perceives this as a terrifying dream, but eventually, she views it as a blessing. Ali employs this newfound talent to charm the most sought-after free agent, hoping it will lead to her promotion. Yet, some of the tactics she deploys may have consequences that could haunt her later on.

Verdict on What Men Want

A comedic romance titled “What Men Really Think” tells the story of a self-centered, ambitious woman who inexplicably develops the power to hear men’s thoughts. Initially, she employs this ability to advance her career and personal life. However, she gradually discovers the true value of this gift as she learns what truly matters.

This movie is a fresh take on a film that has been remade frequently throughout the years. Instead of a man experiencing various thoughts and emotions, this time it’s a woman who gets to delve into male perspectives and grapple with some unsettling ideas. Yet, the underlying theme remains the same: It’s not so much about comprehending people’s thoughts, but rather grasping their desires. Taraji P Henson shines in her leading role, while the supporting cast provides timely humor when needed.

Final Thoughts What Men Want is a fun comedy with a nice message.
