As a seasoned gamer who’s been traversing digital landscapes for decades, I can confidently say that this collaboration between A Ma Maniére and Nike is nothing short of a dream come true! With their 10th anniversary celebration, they’ve managed to bring together the mighty trinity – Air Jordan, Nike, and Converse – under one roof (or rather, one collection). I remember when Virgil Abloh’s Off-White™ took on this monumental task back in 2017, and it was nothing short of legendary.
As a longtime fan of fashion and sneaker culture, I am thrilled to see the collaboration between Atlanta-based boutique A Ma Maniére and Nike for their 10th anniversary collection. With my years of following the industry and witnessing various collaborations, I can confidently say that this one stands out as particularly unique due to its “While You Were Sleeping” theme and the involvement of not just Nike, but also its Jordan Brand and Converse subsidiaries. This is only the second time a collaborator has worked with all three brands for one collection, as Virgil Abloh’s Off-White™ did in 2017 with the legendary “THE TEN” campaign. I am eagerly anticipating the release of this collaboration and look forward to seeing the accompanying film teased in their Instagram post. This is definitely a moment that fashion and sneaker enthusiasts will not want to miss!
As we work on gathering comprehensive images for each pair, AMM has shared some initial information to provide a starting point. Let’s dive into the details:
Regarding Nike’s role, they enabled A Ma Manière (AMM) to revamp the Air Force 1 Low once more, a model that was their first collaboration project back in 2019. While specifics are yet to be disclosed, it is rumored to incorporate distinctive elements acknowledging AMM’s heritage and growth, making it a highly desirable item. During Paris Fashion Week in January, we also got a sneak peek at the AMM-designed Air Max 95, which shares a royal mauve color scheme across its complex layers. Subtle branding can be seen at the lateral toe area. Lastly, the Converse collaboration from AMM includes the low-top version of the Weapon in off-white and soft brown tones, with an apparent AMM emblem on the lateral heel.
The launch of the Air Jordan 3 “W.Y.W.S.” is set to start on August 20, and it will be available first through A Ma Maniére’s online and physical stores at a cost of $225 USD.
