To set things straight, let me clarify that ‘Day One’ is not the third installment of ‘A Quiet Place.’ We’re only discussing ‘A Quiet Place 3’ now, as we’re currently in the process of developing it. When we made the first one, John Krasinski was relatively free, having just finished his role on ‘The Office,’ and he had a strong desire to delve into directing.
The entire “Quiet Place” series has faced some challenges since its initial release. Originally, the second movie was scheduled to hit theaters in 2020, but due to global pandemic-related theater closures, it had to be delayed. Unlike many other studios that opted for home releases during this time, the decision was made to postpone “A Quiet Place Part II” and wait for the reopening of theaters instead.
The hold-up in Part III is more typical of the movie industry’s standard practice. According to Fuller, the problem lies with the availability of director John Krasinski, who directed the first two installments and is set to direct the third one as well.
