The company A24 has now released a sneak peek of Spike Lee’s upcoming movie titled Highest 2 Lowest. In this film, Denzel Washington and A$AP Rocky will be the main characters. This New York City-based crime thriller is a modern adaptation of Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 masterpiece called High and Low.

This crime thriller represents the fifth joint production by the esteemed director and Washington, a collaboration not seen since Inside Man over 20 years ago. In this film, Washington portrays a highly respected New York City music mogul ensnared in a perilous hostage situation that compels him to grapple with a difficult ethical dilemma. The trailer, set to James Brown’s “The Big Payback,” provides a fast-paced sneak peek into the film’s tense ambiance, showcasing Washington delivering a no-nonsense monologue amidst backdrops of New York City landscapes, law enforcement activity, and instances of violence. Additionally, the trailer presents A$AP Rocky as a rapper known as Yung Felon and emphasizes the diverse cast, including Jeffrey Wright and Ice Spice making her acting debut.
