adidas and Ye Officially Settle All Claims

As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours navigating virtual worlds and negotiating deals, I can’t help but draw parallels between my gaming adventures and the real-life saga of Adidas and Ye.

Two years following the dissolution of their business alliance, adidas and Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) have come to an agreement outside of court that resolves all disputes related to the joint Yeezy project with adidas, as reported by Reuters.

In a statement released through Business of Fashion, adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden expressed that both parties have agreed to cease all disputes and have withdrawn all claims. He further clarified that there are no financial commitments in their settlement. Essentially, he said, ‘The past is the past; nobody owes anything to anyone now.’

Last year in October, my partnership with adidas – which was bringing in over a billion dollars annually and helping me achieve billionaire status – came to an end. This decision was made after I made a series of offensive comments, including questioning Jewish identities, promoting harmful conspiracy theories, and threatening “death con 3” against Jewish people on Twitter. Adidas officially cut ties with me following this controversial outburst.

Later on, The New York Times disclosed that adidas had allowed inappropriate conduct by Ye for almost a decade. According to an investigation, Ye allegedly made offensive comments about antisemitism and sex, exhibited unpredictable behavior, and continually increased his demands during the partnership. It was revealed that adidas’ executives overlooked his unacceptable behavior for financial gains.

Following the cancellation of our partnership, I’ve been left with approximately 1.3 billion USD worth of Yeezy merchandise. Over the past two years, I’ve steadily sold off these items. As a fan, I’m excited to share that we aim to wrap up sales of this collaborative line by the end of this year.
