As an ardent fan of Aditya Roy Kapur, I find his background and journey into acting absolutely fascinating. In the recent interview with HELLO! Indo-Arabia, he shared that films were never a part of his childhood experiences, which is quite intriguing for someone who has become such a prominent figure in Bollywood today.
Aditya Roy Kapur is set to feature in the upcoming film “Metro… In Dino” alongside Sara Ali Khan. He recently made a notable appearance at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s grand wedding. During a recent interview, Aditya spoke candidly about various topics such as work, personal life, and fitness.
In the interview, the actor shared that he was not into films and it happened to him naturally.
‘Films were never part of growing up,’ says Aditya Roy Kapur
In an interview with HELLO! Ind-Arabia, Aditya Roy Kapur shared that as a child, films weren’t something he was particularly drawn to. Growing up in South Bombay, he didn’t have connections in the film industry. Instead, his brothers pursued theater and his mother was a dance teacher and choreographer. Kapur recalls being fascinated by how his family and friends on stage could transform into their characters.
Aditya expressed, “I’ve had a lifelong passion for sports. Somehow, my interest in films developed organically. Once I started exploring this newfound hobby, I found myself deeply drawn to it – and that’s the most eloquent way I can explain it.”
During the same interview, Roy from Aashiqui 2 expressed his eagerness to collaborate with renowned American director Martin Scorsese. He shared, “I truly want to work with him. I’d be willing to take any role – even as an extra on set.”
Aditya Roy Kapur’s work front
According to India Today’s reports, I’ve learned from reliable sources that I, Aditya Roy Kapur, have completed filming my scenes for the upcoming project, Metro… In Dino.
I’m absolutely thrilled and totally engrossed by the fact that both Aditya and Sara Ali Khan devoted significant parts of their film shoot in my beloved cities of Mumbai and Delhi! It brings me immense joy to know that earlier this year, in February, they captured some enchanting romantic scenes right here in Delhi.
Based on Hindustan Times reports, the two actors shared romantic sequences at various Delhi landmarks such as Connaught Place, Mandi House, Hauz Khas, and even Gurugram metro. During the day, all the scenes were filmed, while their nights were primarily spent socializing in New Delhi.
Anurag Basu leads the team behind Metro… In addition, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal, and Konkona Sen Sharma take on prominent roles in this production. Initially scheduled for a Sep 13, 2024 release, the film’s debut was subsequently moved to Nov 29, 2024.
