After Stephen Amell Drops First Look At Suits L.A., I’m Just Living For The Arrow Fans’ Comments

As a long-time gamer and ardent fan of both TV shows and movies, I can’t help but feel excited about Stephen Amell‘s latest venture into the world of television. The announcement of his new role in NBC’s “Suits: L.A.” spinoff has brought back fond memories of his iconic portrayal of Oliver Queen/The Arrow in the CW series, “Arrow.”

As a longtime fan of both “Suits” and “Heels,” I’m thrilled to hear that Stephen Amell is returning to network TV with the new legal drama spinoff, “Suits: L.A.” Having grown up watching USA’s hit legal series, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia and excitement at the prospect of seeing Amell in a new role.

After shooting the pilot in Vancouver during the spring, 12 years after donning the Oliver Queen costume, Amell is excited to share his new TV show with viewers, although it won’t be released until after the 2024 television premiere season ends. However, it may take some time before his fans shift their reactions from those related to Arrow to comments pertaining to Suits. Here’s a snapshot of Amell’s Instagram post below.

Through expansive windows revealing a radiant urban landscape, Stephen Amell’s character Ted Black in NBC’s latest legal dramedy could pass for a superhero persona. However, he isn’t dressed in a superhero suit, and there are no masks involved, unless the storyline includes COVID-19 themes. Yet, fans don’t require visual cues to recall Amell’s most acclaimed performance.

The most frequently given response to Amell’s photo is a playful rephrasing of a well-known line from the first season of the CW/DC series “Arrow.”

You have failed this firm??

The Hood gave a warning to wrongdoers with his ominous words, leaving it intriguing to determine which camp Ted Black belongs – will he be an asset for a local hero or an obstacle? Although shows like “Suits: L.A.” and NBC don’t typically include superheroes in their storylines, one can imagine the possibilities.

Now here’s a smattering of other Arrow-centric comments from Stephen Amell’s fans.

  • Once Oliver Queen, always Oliver Queen:))) – @r7raha
  • Excited to see this series. I confess, I still watch Arrow on Netflix every day. My daughter makes fun of me, but I don’t care.👏 – @doeraeheart

There were indeed numerous comments making “You have failed this City” jokes, and no doubt more will follow as more images and trailers emerge. Let’s cross our fingers that Ted Black doesn’t take up archery as a hobby or has an affinity for poor-fitting wigs.

A variety of people, including TV fans, responded to Amell’s post with support. His wife Cassandra, Elizabeth Tulloch from “Superman & Lois,” and a fellow “Arrow” actor joined in, as shown below.

  • Pretty hot. – @cassandrapants
  • Congrats my friend 🙌🙌🙌 – @bitsietulloch
  • First time ever on set I worked with this man. I was a Bratva gangster trying to kill him in the Russian fight club scene. Arrow season 7 episode : Prochnost – @joebergfilm

Central City” with Grant Gustin as the lead, it won’t be a surprise to anyone.

In this role, the ex-federal prosecutor portrayed by the actor will be joined by other characters who are determined to save his law firm during a tough time. These characters will include Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, Alice Lee, Bryan Greenberg, and Troy Winbush.

During midseason on NBC, you can look forward to seeing “Suits: L.A.” making its appearance. Don’t forget to check out the original version of the show if you’re not up-to-date yet, as it is available for streaming with a Netflix membership.
