AI Envisioned Jason Momoa As The Little Mermaid Instead Of Aquaman, And Now I Can’t Unsee It

As a seasoned gamer and movie enthusiast who has witnessed the evolution of gaming and cinematography from the days of 8-bit graphics to today’s visually stunning CGI, I must say that the latest AI-generated images of Jason Momoa as The Little Mermaid have left me utterly amazed and a tad bit amused.

Jason Momoa has certainly left a significant impact playing the muscular Aquaman in the DCEU since his debut as the superhero. To achieve that defined physique, he’s put in some rigorous workout routines for Aquaman, but he occasionally takes a break from leg day exercises. However, with the help of AI technology, we can now imagine Momoa portraying a different half-human sea creature instead of just skipping leg days! After seeing him as The Little Mermaid, it’s hard to imagine anything else for the King of Atlantis.

AI technology was employed to generate stunning visuals depicting Jason Momoa enjoying a fantastic mermaid life, and I must admit that Halle Bailey could potentially face rivalry if Disney were to produce a follow-up to her 2023 live-action remake. Have a look at the images on Instagram for yourself!

In the universe of Jason Momoa’s portrayal of The Little Mermaid, every fish is a vibrant shade of pink, and Momoa seamlessly blends in with his shimmering pink tail and iridescent scales adorning his arm sleeves.

In this subaquatic realm, it appears that all fabrics share the same shade, with multiple mannequins sporting shimmering pink sequined mermaid suits and an AI resembling Momoa donning a lavish pink-and-gold jacket in separate depictions.

It’s interesting to note that while Halle Bailey’s green tail in The Little Mermaid appears realistic, it seems no attempt was made by the A.I. to make Jason Momoa’s tail in Aquaman and the Lost KIngdom look real at all. This is especially noticeable in the second slide where Momoa is sitting on a rock under the moonlight. The shiny sequins used don’t resemble scales, making it seem more like Momoa is dressed up for a costume party rather than living as Aquaman among his friends such as Flounder and Sebastian.

After four slides, on the other hand, the AI abandoned its pursuit of the tail entirely, revealing Jason Momoa, even his legs, engrossed in a bit of reading amidst his thrilling escapades.

It’s consistently entertaining to view the artwork generated by artificial intelligence, even someone like Jason Momoa, known for his role in Baywatch: Hawaii years ago, might find it intriguing to see Harry Potter characters sporting the show’s iconic red swimsuits (the image of Voldemort in swim trunks still makes me chuckle). Notably, while Khal Drogo was absent from this transformation, several Game of Thrones characters have been reinvented as Disney cartoon characters, all thanks to AI technology.

It’s possible that Jason Momoa won’t be starring in any mermaid movies right away, but there are exciting projects on the horizon for him. Coming up next is the movie adaptation of the popular video game “Minecraft,” scheduled for release in 2025. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Coolidge, and many others.

For now, you can re-experience the thrilling journeys of Jason Momoa’s character Arthur Curry by streaming “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” and its prequel with a Max subscription. On the other hand, “The Little Mermaid” can be found on another top-tier streaming platform – Disney+.
