‘Aladdin’ Horror Movie?! See the Twisted Trailer!

A chilling new spin on a beloved Disney tale awaits, as the classic story of ‘Aladdin’ is set to be transformed into a horror movie. Deadline reports that Bradley Stryker, star of ‘Terrifier 3’, will direct this dark and supernatural retelling of the Arabic folktale from ‘One Thousand and One Nights’. Originally animated by Disney, the story follows a street urchin who stumbles upon a magic lamp housing an enormous genie. Now, those eager to explore a sinister interpretation of this cherished fairytale will soon get their wish fulfilled, as ‘Aladdin: The Monkey’s Paw’ officially begins production next month in the UK.

In the upcoming movie titled “Aladdin: The Monkey’s Paw,” Stryker is not only taking charge as director but also starring in it. This film is being produced by Empire Studios, Every Entertainment, and 8th Law Pictures. Besides Stryker, the cast includes Nick Sagar, Ricky Norwood, and Montana Manning, although their roles are currently kept under wraps. The storyline takes a fresh approach to the classic Aladdin tale, with Charley McDougall, the screenwriter, turning it into a chilling nightmare instead of a musical fantasy. The official description for “Aladdin: The Monkey’s Paw” reveals that Aladdin, a contemporary Londoner, inherits an ancient monkey paw said to grant wishes. However, he soon learns that each wish comes with a heavy price as those around him start succumbing to its curse. As the evil grows, Aladdin must battle it and the malevolent force feeding on every granted wish.

I’m thrilled to be part of the production team for “Aladdin: The Monkey’s Paw“, working alongside Sagar, Stryker, and Jamie McLeod-Ross. Rustin Matthew, Terry Bird, and Arthur Corber are our esteemed executive producers, with Simon Stolland at the helm as Director of Photography. In a recent statement, I shared that we’re eager to delve into horror not just for its scares, but also to examine the personal toll of granted wishes. I added that we aim to make this journey as authentic and impactful as possible.

This tale has lingered with us for some time now, and it’s high time we released it. Just as the most chilling horror movies continue to haunt you once the credits finish rolling, this story does the same. It’s sharp, emotional, and filled with an eerie dread that is perfectly executed. We aren’t merely creating another horror film; instead, we’re constructing a universe around a truly legendary concept. The symbol of the paw, its mythos, and the characters – they all come together in this captivating narrative.

More to come…
