Atelier4 Is Bringing Art Installations on Luxury Yachts

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for both the virtual and real-world arts, I must admit that Atelier4‘s Art Aboard service has piqued my interest. Having spent countless hours sailing digital seas on games like Sea of Thieves, I can appreciate the allure of art adorning the decks of luxury yachts.

Artelier4 is blazing its unique path within the high-end art storage and transportation industry. This week, they unveiled their innovative new service, called Art Aboard, which will focus on creating and overseeing fine art exhibitions on opulent yachts, as per a company press release.

The New York company with its headquarters plans to broaden its operations further in the greater Miami region. Instead, they’ll ship their valued artworks to Atelier4’s temperature-regulated facility housed within their Florida storage. From this point, the art pieces will be moved onto luxury yachts upon docking, and Art Aboard will seek tailored installation strategies to suit each boat’s distinctive characteristics.

As a gamer, I can say that while I’m really hyped about it, there’s a bit of uncertainty surrounding its release. Just as Karen Boyer, an art advisor from Miami, told Artnet, putting your physical collection on a yacht might not be the best idea due to factors like humidity and temperature changes at sea. However, she also mentioned that some people have this strong desire for displaying art on boats – a niche market, perhaps?

A while back, Atelier4 CEO Jonathan Schwartz decided to step away from significant art exhibitions. This decision aligns with the company’s forward-thinking approach, as demonstrated by their new venture, Art Aboard. Since its launch, Schwartz continues to express enthusiasm for future projects, both on land and at sea. With a crew of yacht personnel, art consultants, insurance providers, and service support, Art Aboard upholds its dedication to preservation while elevating the artistic atmosphere over tranquil waters.
