As a fan who has grown up in the heart of Greek football culture, I can confidently say that Athens Kallithea FC has truly outdone themselves with their 24/25 home shirt. Having followed the club’s evolution over the years and witnessed the creative genius behind Venezia FC, it’s no surprise to see this latest design take the stage.
As a passionate gamer and football enthusiast, I can’t help but feel a thrill running down my spine whenever I think about Kallithea FC from Athens, Greece. This team stands out with its unique, ’90s-inspired kits that have earned them a special place in streetwear fashion. The navy and white jerseys they’ve been known for are just one part of their expanding wardrobe. Recently, they unveiled their brand new 24/25 home shirt, which will make its debut on the field later this month as Kallithea returns to Greece’s top division after an 18-year absence. I can hardly wait!
Under the innovative leadership of brand president Ted Philipakos, who is also known for his work with Venezia FC, the recent designs for Athens Kallithea incorporate the traditional, cherished elements of the club while refining them with a touch of elegance.
Speaking about the previous home jersey from last season, Philipakos mentioned that it’s one of his favorites among the designs created over the years. However, this season they decided to move towards a style that is less sporty and more refined instead. He believes the new shirt demonstrates the impact of thoughtful restraint and subtlety in design, allowing vibrant colors to take center stage as the main focus.
Typically, the shirt showcases the emblem of the National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens (EMST) in its central area, boasting a classic collar, sophisticated embossed details, and a stylish blue-on-blue color pattern.

The AKFC home shirt model for the 24/25 season comes accompanied by a unique video promotional campaign, a short 16mm film named “Hold Me Close to You,” which is inspired by the 1960s. This nostalgic movie was filmed on the historic island of Spetses, and it features Theopisti Pourliotopoulou, a recognizable actress who has previously worked with Philipakos for Venezia FC’s campaigns.
Philipakos stated, “Since our club was established back in 1966, we’ve frequently looked back to the 1960s, which was an exceptional time for Greek cinema. With this in mind, I found myself inspired by Tzeni Vanou’s ‘Krata Me Konta Sou.’ The atmosphere and feelings portrayed in that movie resonated with me, and I wanted to capture those same emotions in a new way. Nostalgia is a recurring theme in my work, from Venezia FC to Athens Kallithea FC.”
As a passionate gamer, I couldn’t help but notice the latest addition to my favorite club’s merchandise – the 24/25 AKFC home shirt! It’s now up for grabs on their webstore, just waiting for me to click “add to cart”! I suggest you head over and check it out. The design is a sight to behold, and the accompanying campaign is worth a look too.
