Many people view October 1st as marking the beginning of the eerie period often called “spooky season”. With that in mind, it’s particularly exciting for horror enthusiasts when significant updates surface about one of the genre’s major franchises. The announcement for Scream VII was made some time ago, but there was uncertainty regarding when Ghostface would terrorize audiences again. As it turns out, it appears that Ghostface requires a little more time to hone its (or her) blade, as the movie is set to premiere later than most fans probably anticipated.

84-year-old actor John Amos, most recognized for portraying James Evans, Sr. on “Good Times,” passed away on August 21 as confirmed by his son K.C. Amos (reported by The Hollywood Reporter). Amos leaves behind a daughter named Shannon and K.C., two children he shared with his first wife, Noel J. Mickelson, whom he was married to from 1965 to 1975. He remarried once in his lifetime but was unmarried at the time of his demise.

As October rolls around and we approach the last stretch of the year, it seems like every brand is ramping up for some thrilling new drops. This week alone, Nike, its Jordan Brand, and Converse divisions have got some highly anticipated releases lined up. But that’s not all! adidas and Reebok are also jumping into the action.

During the same period as the United Nations General Assembly, New York City hosted Climate Week – a vast, dispersed event series. In 2021, it expanded to over 900 events happening throughout the city from September 22nd to the 29th. This year, notable figures from Hollywood, including Matt Damon and Benedict Cumberbatch, as well as sustainability leaders at Netflix, NBCUniversal, and Paramount Global, were actively involved.
