As an ardent admirer of Anubhav Sinha’s work, I must express my disappointment at the criticism leveled against his masterpiece, IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, for alleged inaccuracies in its portrayal. This gripping drama series, starring Vijay Varma, Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah, Manoj Pahwa, and Patralekhaa, is a riveting retelling of the 1999 hijack of Air India flight Kathmandu-Delhi. A remarkable aspect of this story is that it revolves around a family whose members were onboard IC 814 during the hijack, and their daughter, Shivangi Menon, who aspires to become a pilot, has shared her determination to learn how to navigate such challenging situations in the future.
Among the much-awaited movies slated for 2024 is undoubtedly Ridley Scott’s follow-up to his critically acclaimed and commercially successful film, “Gladiator.” Given the first movie’s unique combination of box office success and major awards, the sequel will have a significant hurdle to overcome. However, Ridley Scott appears optimistic that he will rise to this challenge.
The highly anticipated fourth installment of the Spider-Man series has secured its director in Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously worked on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Previously, the first three MCU Spider-Man films were directed by Jon Watts, but since the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, a new director has been sought for the next chapter in the ongoing adventures of our web-slinging hero. It’s been close to three years since the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, and it appears that Sony and Marvel are now pushing forward at full speed with the project.
