Ever since its premiere on September 5, 2024, the latest murder mystery from Netflix, titled “The Perfect Couple“, has gained significant popularity among viewers. Helmed by Susanne Bier, this series consists of six episodes, each lasting under an hour. It’s only been a few days since the series dropped, and viewers are already drawing comparisons between “The Perfect Couple” and critically acclaimed shows like “Big Little Lies” and “The White Lotus“.

It’s starting to appear more and more likely that fans of Inside the NBA may not get to see it next summer, due to its network, TNT, having trouble renewing the broadcast rights for the league in the 2025 TV schedule. Currently, the chances of TNT reacquiring these rights seem quite unlikely. Some experts have proposed potential ways to keep the show going, such as selling it to an organization that owns professional basketball rights. This idea was brought up to co-host Charles Barkley, who believes this scenario is highly unlikely for a major reason.

One of the upcoming television series set within the new DC Universe shared universe is centered around Lanterns, featuring Green Lantern Corps members Hal Jordan and John Stewart who find themselves embroiled in a sinister mystery on American soil when they investigate a murder in the heartland. It was recently speculated that Josh Brolin might portray Hal in this Green Lantern series, but it appears he won’t be taking on the role. Despite this, I remain hopeful that Brolin will have another chance to shine with DC, given his less-than-satisfactory performance in Jonah Hex. Now, this show is set to air first on HBO before becoming available for streaming with a Max subscription.

In May 2021, Army of the Dead by Zack Snyder felt like paradise for me, being a follow-up, in my view, to his outstanding remake of Dawn of the Dead. I watched this widely acclaimed Netflix original movie multiple times in the weeks after its release, anticipating more from what I believed could be the next iconic zombie apocalypse film series.
