As a huge fan of Awake NY and their continued collaboration with influential figures from the hip-hop and art worlds, I am absolutely thrilled about their latest release featuring the works of Shadi Perez and Noreen Seabrook. The Reversible Warm Up Jersey is a must-have for any true Awake NY enthusiast, and the addition of Shadi’s iconic photograph of Danny Castro and Anthony Marshall from the Lyricist Lounge is an amazing nod to the rich history of New York City’s hip-hop scene.
As a music enthusiast and fashion aficionado with a strong connection to the East Coast scene, I’m thrilled about Awake NY’s latest release. Their Ferg capsule was already a hit among music lovers and trendsetters, but this new collaboration takes things to the next level.
The jersey features Danny Castro and Anthony Marshall’s image, founders of the popular underground hip-hop scene hub, Lyricist Lounge, in the ’90s. Their photograph covers the entire silhouette of the jersey. On the reverse side, there is a large “Awake NY” inscription in green letters on the front, accompanied by the number seven beneath it.

As Noreen Seabrook’s statement jersey makes its entrance, a collection of colorful, globe-shaped rugs follow suit. This marks the streetwear brand’s initial foray into rug production. The rugs showcase unique artwork by East Harlem artist Shaun Crawford, exclusively for Unisphere. Each rug measures approximately three feet in diameter and is meticulously handcrafted using traditional Tibetan weaving methods, entirely from wool.
