Ben Stiller didn’t think Pat McAfee’s comments about him at the Knicks game were all that funny.
On Tuesday evening, the multi-talented celebrity and ardent Knicks supporter could be found courtside during the fourth game of the East Conference Finals between the Knicks and Pacers. Joining him were actors Timothée Chalamet and Spike Lee. As the game kicked off, the host of The Pat McAfee Show addressed the Pacer fans, subtly mocking some influential figures from the big city who had traveled to the Indianapolis arena.
McAfee declared to the gathered crowd, “Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, and Timothée Chalamet are all present.” However, instead of warm welcomes, boos followed each name. Then, in a loud voice, he exclaimed, “Let’s send these fellows back to New York with their ears ringing!”

McAfee addressed the crowd, saying, “Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, and Timothée Chalalmet are here.” But instead of cheers, each name was met with boos. Finally, in a loud tone, he said, “Let’s pack them off to New York with their ears ringing!
Following the game where the Pacers triumphed over the Knicks 130-121, Stiller subsequently expressed his thoughts on a platform known as X (previously Twitter), in response to some clips of McAfee’s address. “Indeed, it was peculiar,” he penned. “We were thrilled to be present and cheer our team, and aside from that, the Indy fans were fantastic. #KNICKSIN7,” the star of Zoolander commented.
Absolutely! It was quite a spectacle being amongst fellow supporters, cheering on our beloved team, and I must say, Indianapolis fans were simply fantastic. They truly elevated the atmosphere with their enthusiasm. 🎉 #KNICKSIN7

Siller mentioned in a previous comment, “That’s fine. Perhaps he’s just joking – if it’s a genuine perspective, it seems a bit outdated or overused? For example, it gives off an impression that we are ‘glamorous city dwellers’, and our presence in the countryside is somehow incongruous. Nevertheless, everyone we encountered was fantastic and incredibly interesting.
In response to another “X” user saying, “Don’t hold a grudge,” the executive producer of “Severance” explained, “I have absolutely no hard feelings towards the Indy fans. That was a fantastic victory for your team.
