In Elden Ring’s Nightreign expansion, the Executor stands out among the Nightfarers as one of the most potent figures. Though it may not match the raw power and damage output (DPS) of the Raider or Wylder, the Executor truly shines in a specific area: Arcane mastery. As in the original Elden Ring game, Arcane is the attribute that holds the greatest power in Nightreign. This statistic determines the amount of elemental or status damage you can inflict on your enemies.
Initially, the Executor wields a Uchigatana, allowing it to inflict substantial damage on both enemies and bosses primarily through its powerful Bleed effect. Additionally, the Executor is an optimal choice for various elemental affinities in the game, with Frostbite being one of them, offering an exceptionally strong impact in the game.
Using the appropriate collection of Artifacts, you can transform the Executor into a formidable elemental force, capable of inflicting numerous status effects concurrently. Here’s a detailed walkthrough for optimizing your Executor character in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Overview of the Executor in Elden Ring Nightreign
In solo runs, the Executor stands out among Nightfarers for his exceptional compatibility with elemental and debilitating effects. This is largely due to the S scaling in Arcane, which allows him to quickly inflict bleed on any game opponent with only a few swift attacks. Naturally, the Executor dishes out a significant amount of Bleed damage. Furthermore, since elemental affinities in Nightreign allow for the stacking of multiple statuses, you can add additional debilitating effects on top of Bleed for even greater impact.
In our construction, we followed through exactly as planned. We infused the initial sword (Uchigatana) with both poison and frost attributes by employing the relics from Caligo and Gnoster. This empowerment enables you to inflict all three elemental affinities concurrently, also taking into account the physical damage multiplier of the weapon.
inflicting enemies with Frostbite causes the Executor to momentarily become cloaked. The main disadvantage of this setup is its limited health, but it can be compensated by acquiring passive buffs during Expeditions.
Furthermore, we’ve taken steps to enhance Maris’s Relic, providing a slight HP increase for the Executor. If you prefer, you could swap out this Relic for one that is specific to the Executor, resulting in slightly lower HP at the onset of an Expedition.

How To Use the Best Executor Build?
Here are some tips to help you use the best Executor build efficiently:
- With Executor, your primary battle strategy should be inflicting as much elemental damage as possible. While you can do it with the starting Uchigatana itself, having a second Katana is the best way to do it. Essentially, power-stance two Katanas and use the L1/LB combo to quickly stack multiple instances of elemental damage.
- Do note that Executor, much like the Duchess, Ironeye, and the Recluse, is very squishy. While he does have enough HP to tank a few attacks, it’s not ideal to take damage as an Executor. Instead, the Nightfarer is best used as the team’s DPS. As such, don’t go rushing toward bosses with an Executor; instead, try to use blindside attacks to quickly bleed out the enemy/boss.
- While Bleed is the best weapon the Executor has access to, it’s also quite efficient with other elemental statuses. As such, make sure you’re using weapons that not only deal Bleed but also have elements that can be helpful against the Nightlords.
- Parrying using the Executor is one of the best aspects of the Nightfarer. If you’re playing solo, Executor’s ability to parry and counterattack can be a lifesaver in several situations. However, switching to the parry stance has a downside. Using the Golden Sword refrains you from inflicting enemies or bosses with elemental affinities. Furthermore, using the parry in co-op isn’t viable, especially against bosses with additional enemies surrounding them.
Additional Notes
In a single player setting, this construction works exceptionally well. Yet, it’s also adaptable for multiplayer scenarios. Keep in mind that with this setup, you won’t often utilize the Executor’s Character Skill or Ultimate Art. Nevertheless, you can still leverage the active abilities for invincibility frames and an emergency escape option.
