This week, we have the much-anticipated official streaming debuts of both “Slime Season” and “Slime Season 2,” which are Young Thug’s seventh and eighth self-made mixtapes that were initially released towards the end of 2015.

New tracks are being released by artists such as Kodak Black and Ice Spice in longform formats, while Tyler, the Creator showcased a stellar freestyle over Kendrick Lamar’s “hey now” beat. As a devoted hip-hop fan, I can’t contain my excitement! At long last, the legendary Slime Season mixtape by Young Thug has officially made its way onto digital streaming platforms. This highly anticipated 18-track collection, initially released in September 2015, includes standout tracks like “Best Friend,” “No Way,” and “Mine.” Notably, it boasts collaborations with Lil Wayne, Rich Gang, Migos, Peewee Longway, Young Ralph, and Gucci Mane. This is a major milestone for hip-hop fans like myself!

Young Thug – Slime Season 2

Originally, Thugger unveiled “Slime Season 2” on streaming platforms just a few hours prior to its precursor. Being the second installment in his “Slime Season” mixtape series, this second volume – first released in October 2015 – boasts a total of 21 tracks, with an extra three bonus tunes included. Guest appearances are made by Lil Uzi Vert on “Big Racks,” while Trouble, Shad da God, Yak Gotti, Rich Homie Quan and Birdman can be found scattered throughout the rest of the album.

Kodak Black – Gift For The Streets

On Christmas Day, Kodak Black revealed his unexpected 12-track album titled “Gift For The Streets” which marks his third major project within a span of two months.

Tyler, The Creator – “THAT GUY”

On Christmas Day, Tyler, The Creator unexpectedly shared a freestyle based on Kendrick Lamar’s song “hey now” from the GNX cut. Named “THAT GUY,” this nearly three-minute version of the hit song is Tyler’s first release since the album CHROMAKOPIA. At the moment, the track isn’t available on streaming platforms, but don’t worry! Tyler himself revealed a music video he directed to go along with the track.

Rex Orange County – “Drama”

Rex Orange County recently unveiled a fresh track titled “Drama”, marking his initial release since the September debut of his fifth studio album, “The Alexander Technique“.

Ice Spice –Y2K!: I’m Just A Girl (Deluxe)

This summer, Ice Spice unveiled her first full-length studio release, titled “Y2K,” which consists of 10 tracks. But to give the album a bit more oomph, she’s now released an extended version known as “Y2K!: I’m Just A Girl (Deluxe)“. This new edition includes five additional tracks at the beginning, such as collaborations with NLE Choppa and DaBaby on “Hannah Montana” and a remix of “BB Belt” featuring Bb trickz.

Homixide Gang – “Free Agents”

The Homixide Gang has recently released their first single since the launch of their third studio album titled i5u5we5, which dropped in May. With Pi’erre Bourne handling the production, the track “Free Agents” is currently only available on YouTube and runs for approximately 3 minutes and 10 seconds. The video for “Free Agents” features appearances from fellow Opium group members Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely.

Bad Bunny – “PIToRRO DE COCO”

Apart from revealing his upcoming studio album a day after Christmas in typical Bad Bunny style, he also unveiled the first single from the album, titled “PIToRRO DE COCO.” This song is scheduled to be the 13th track on the upcoming album “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS“, which will be available worldwide on January 5.

Hit-Boy – “Letter to My Mentors”

Hit-Boy has produced a tribute to everyone who has influenced him throughout his journey, titled “Letter to My Mentors.” This nearly three-minute self-made track expresses gratitude as Hit-Boy acknowledges and honors these individuals. The message is also conveyed in the song’s music video.
